Section 6. Appointment of Syariah Appeal Court Judges.

(1) The Yang di-Pertua Negeri may, on the recommendation of the Majlis and State Chief Syar'ie Judge, appoint Syariah Appeal Court Judges.

(2) A person is qualified for appointment under subsection (1) if he –

(a)

is a citizen; and

(b)

before his appointment, has for a period of not less than ten years been a

Syar'ie

Judge or a Registrar or a Syariah Prosecutor or

Kadhi

of a State or sometimes one and sometimes another.
