PART XI - OFFENCES



Section 120. Failure to report.

(1) Whoever being under a duty to report to a Registrar any marriage or divorce fails so to do shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven days or to a fine not exceeding twenty-five dollars.

(2) Whoever, being under a duty to report or having reported, to a Registrar any marriage or divorce, and having been required by such Registrar to furnish any information or to execute or sign any document prescribed for effecting registration of such marriage or divorce, fails to comply with such requirement shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven days or to a fine not exceeding twenty-five dollars.

(3) Whoever wilfully makes to any Registrar, orally or in writing, any false statement or declaration relating to any matter required under the provisions of this Enactment to be recorded or registered by such Registrar shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to a fine not exceeding three hundred dollars.

(4) A husband who contravenes the provisions of sub-sections (7) or (8) of section 90A shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to a fine not exceeding two hundred dollars.
