Section 46. Appointment of Syariah Appeal Court Judges.

(1) Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan, after consulting the Majlis and the Chief Syariah Judge, may appoint seven Muslims to constitute a standing panel of Syariah Appeal Court Judges.

(2) A person who is appointed under subsection (1) shall hold office for a period of three years and is eligible for reappointment.

(3) Every appointment under subsection (1) shall be published in the Gazette.
