Section 17. Degrading the law or bringing it into contempt.

Anyone who degrades or brings into contempt any law relating to the Religion of Islam in force in the State of Perak Darul Ridzuan commits and offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
