Section 15. Search of persons arrested.
(1) Whenever a person is arrested—
(a) by a Religious Enforcement Officer or police officer under a warrant which does not provide for the taking of bail or under a warrant which provides for the taking of bail but the person arrested cannot furnish bail; or
(b) without warrant and the person arrested is unable to furnish bail, the Religious Enforcement Officer or police officer making the arrest may search such person and seize all articles other than the necessary wearing apparel found upon him and place them in safe custody, and any of such articles which there is reason to believe were used in committing the offence may be detained until his discharge or acquittal.
(2) The list of all articles seized under subsection (1) shall be prepared by the officer making the arrest and shall be signed by him.
