PART XXX - COSTS, ALLOWANCES AND COURT FEES
Section 230. Expert witnesses.
(1) A person necessarily attending Court as an expert witness may be allowed such fee for qualifying to give evidence and for giving evidence as the Court may direct, but not exceeding $50 for qualifying and $25 for each day of attendance in Court unless for special reasons.
(2) For the purpose of this section and section 229 the necessity of attendance shall be determined in accordance with the probable normal course of the hearing. Attendance may be necessary although the witness is not in fact called and although no subpoena has been issued to him
