PART X - OFFENCES



Section 138. Unlawful solemnization of marriage.

Whoever solemnizes or purports to solemnize in accordance with Muslim law any marriage between persons both professing the Religion of Islam in contravention of the provisions of Part VII of this Enactment, or knowingly purports to solemnize any such marriage which is void under the provisions of such Part, shall be liable to be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month or with fine not exceeding one hundred dollars or with both such imprisonment and fine.
