Section 18. Termination, resignation of revocation
(1) The membership of a Fatwa Committee member who appointed under paragraph 11(1)(c) may be terminated or revoked at any time by His Royal Highness the Sultan on the advice of Mufti, for certain reasons qualifying him to be terminated.
(2) Any Fatwa Committee member who is appointed under paragraph 11(1)(c) may, by letter addressed to His Royal Highness the Sultan, request from Mufti to resign from being a Fatwa Committee member.
(3) The membership of any Fatwa Committee member who is absent from the meeting for three consecutive times without reasonable excuse may be terminated.
(4) Termination, resignation or revocation of membership of any Fatwa Committee Member shall be published in the Gazette.
