Section 37. Unauthorized solemnization of marriage
Any person who, not being authorized thereto under this Ordinance, solemnizes or purports to solemnize any marriage, commits an offence and shall be punished with a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or with imprisonment not exceeding six months or with both such fine and imprisonment.
