PART II - THE DEPARTMENT OF RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS



Section 7. Contract and property.

(1) For the purposes of this Enactment the Corporation may enter into contracts and may acquire, 'purchase, take, hold and enjoy-movable and immovable property of every description, and subject to the pro, visions of any law affecting the same, may convey, assign, surrender and yield up, mortgage, charge, demise, reassign, transfer or otherwise dispose of, or deal with, any movable or immovable property vested in the Corporation upon such terms as to the Corporation seems fit and in accordance with Muslim Law.

Power to administer estates.

(2) The Corporation shall have power to act as an executor of a will or as an administrator of the estate of a deceased person or as a trustee of any trust.

(3) The Corporation may appear in any Court, whether constituted under this Enactment or otherwise, or in any office of Government by the Commissioner or Secretary or by any person appointed for the purpose either generally or in any particular case under the seal of the Corporation.
