Delegation of Powers and Duties of Majlis



Section 33. Secrecy.

(1) The proceedings of the Majlis shall be kept secret and no member, officer or servant thereof shall disclose or divulge to any person, other than the Yang di-Pertua Negeri or the Minister or any member of the Majlis, any matter that has arisen at any meeting unless he is expressly authorized to do so by the Majlis:

Provided that this section shall not apply to proceedings and matters which have been submitted to, and have received the approval of, the Yang di-Pertua Negeri.

(2) Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding two thousand ringgit or to imprisonment not exceeding one year or to both.
