Section 43. Power of revision.

The Chairman of the Appeal Committee may call for and cause to be examined by the Committee the record of any civil or criminal proceedings before the Court of a Kathi or Kathi Besar for the purpose of satisfying the Committee as to the correctness, legality or propriety of any finding, sentence or order recorded or passed, and as to the regularity of any proceedings of such Court. After examining such record the Appeal Committee may exercise any of the powers conferred on it by sub-section (4) of section 42.
