PART III - PROSECUTION AND DELEGATION
Section 24. Syarie Lawyer.
(1) The Chief Syarie Judge may, on payment of a prescribed fee, admit persons who possess sufficient knowledge about Hukum Syarak to be a Syarie Lawyer to represent parties in any proceedings before any Syariah Court.
(2) The Chief Syarie Judge may make rules -
(a) to provide for procedure, qualifications and fees for admitting Syarie lawyers; and
(b) to regulate, control and supervise conduct of Syarie Lawyers.
(3) Notwithstanding anything contained in any other written law, no person other than a Syarie Lawyer shall have the right to appear in any Syariah Court on behalf of any party to any proceedings before it.
