Section 256. Fees, deposits and disbursements.
Where any fee or deposit is payable in respect of any act, or any disbursements are necessarily involved in doing the same, the officer charged with doing the act shall not be obliged to do it until the fee or deposit, or the amount of the disbursements, has been paid.
