ENACTMENT NO. 2 OF 1966 KELANTAN COUNCIL OF RELIGION AND MALAY CUSTOM ENACTMENT, 1966
PART III - FINANCIAL CHARITABLE TRUSTS
Section 17. General Endowment Fund.
All property, investments and funds, including the fund feretofore constituting the Bait-ul-Mal, which are vested from time to time in the Majlis for the purposes of this Enactment, other than property held, by virtue of the terms of this Enactment or of any trust, wakaf or nazar affecting the same, for a specific purposes or subject to specific express trusts together with the income thereof shall form the General Endowment Fund of the Majlis and shall be held by the Majlis in trust for such charitable purposes for the support and promotion of the Islamic religion, or for the benefit of Muslims in the State of Kelantan in accordance with Hukum Shara', as to the Majlis may from time to time seem proper;
Provided that His Highness the Sultan may give to the Majlis directions, not inconsistent with Hukum Shara' or with the provisions of this Enactment, as to the expenditure of any part of the General Endowment Fund or the income thereof and may, in like manner, vest any propesed expenditure thereof.
