PART X - PROCEDURE IN CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS
Section 208. Caution and binding over.
(1) Notwithstanding any other powers in this Enactment to sentence an offender for any offence, the Court shall have the powers contained in this section.
(2) When any accused person is found guilty for an offence, the Court may, having regard to the character, antecedents, age, health or his mental condition or to the trivial nature of the offence or to the extenuating circumstances under which the offence was committed, make any of the following orders as it thinks appropriate-
(a) caution and then discharge the offender;
(b) discharge the offender conditionally on his entering into a bond with or without sureties, to be of good behaviour for a period not exceeding one year.
(c) If at any time during the period of the bond, the offender commits any offence, the bond may be forfeited and he shall be imprisoned.
