Section 93. Prohibition against teaching contrary to Hukum Syarak.

(1) No person is permitted to profess, teach, give explanation or propagate to other persons in any manner whatever or perform any act or ceremony whIch takes the form of worship which conflicts with the Hukum Syarak or any recognised mazhab or a lawful fatwa from the Majlis, whether in his house or in any other place in the State.

(2) The President may by written order require the attendance of a person who can assist to give information connected with any teaching activity which is contrary to or suspected to be contrary to Hukum Syarak and may require the production of any book, letter or document which is in his possession or control with the aim of getting information regarding such teaching.

(3) If any such person refuses to attend as so required, the President shall report the refusal to a Qadhi and the Qadhi may issue a warrant to ensure the attendance of such person as required by the said order.
