PART VII - GUARDIANSHIP Guardianship of Person and Property
Section 100. Prohibition order by Court.
(1) Notwithstanding the provisions of section 88, the Court may, where it considers it necessary so to do, make an order prohibiting the father of a minor or the father's father or their respective executors or their respective executors' executors from-
(a) selling, charging, mortgaging, exchanging, or otherwise parting with the possession of, any movable or immovable property of the minor; or
(b) leasing any land belonging to the minor for a term exceeding one year,
without the prior leave of the Court.
(2) Failure to comply with an order made under this section shall be punishable as a contempt of court and the Court may, in addition to the sentence passed-
(a) declare void the disposal of the minor's property and make such order as appears requisite for restoring to the minor's estate the property disposed of; or
(b) order the person convicted to pay to the minor compensation not exceeding the value of the minor's property.
(3) The Court shall not make any declaration or order under paragraph (a) or (b) of subsection (2) unless it is necessary or advisable in the interests of the minor.
