Section 208. Omission to produce a document to a religious officer by a person legally bound to produce such document.

Whoever, being legally bound to produce or deliver up any document to any religious officer as such, intentionally omits so to produce or deliver up the same. shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to both; or if the document is to be produced or delivered up to a Court, with imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to a fine not exceeding two thousand ringgit or to both.
