SYARIAH CRIMINAL OFFENCES (TAKZIR) (TERENGGANU) ENACTMENT 2001

PART III - OFFENCES RELATING TO THE SANCTITY OF THE RELIGION OF ISLAM AND ITS INSTITUTION

Section 14. Religious publication contrary to Hukum Syarak.

(1) Any person who-

(a)

prints, publishes, produces, records, distributes or in any other manner disseminates any book, pamphlet, document or any form of recording containing anything which is contrary to

Hukum Syarak;

(b)

has in his possession any such book, pamphlet, document or recording,

shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.

(2) The Court may order that any book, pamphlet, document or recording referred to in subsection (1) be forfeited and destroyed, notwithstanding that no person may have been convicted of an offence connected therewith.
