PART IV - MISCELLANEOUS OFFENCES

Section 30. Giving false evidence, information or statement.

(1) Any person who gives false evidence or fabricates evidence for the purpose of being used in any stage of a judicial proceedings in the Court shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.

(2) Any person who knowing or having reason to believe that an offence has been committed under this Enactment or under any other written law relating to such offence which be knows or believes to be false shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
