PART II - REGISTRAR AND DEPUTY REGISTRAR

Section 4. Duties of Registrar.

(1) The Registrar is responsible for the registration, control and supervision of schools.

(2) For the purpose of subsection (1), the Registrar shall maintain or cause to be maintained a register of all schools which shall contain the following items:

(a)

name anda address of school;

(b)

Board of Management;

(d)

other informations as he deems fit to be recorded.

(3) It shall be the duty of the Registrar to take all steps and do all such things as is deemed appropriate, expedient or necessary to ensure that all schools comply with the provisions of this Enactment and for the purpose of provision the Registrar may give such direction and guidelines to the Board, the Principal or Headmaster.

(4) The Registrar shall have the power to require any Board, Principal or Headmaster to provide him with any information, returns, reports, documents or anything connected thereto and the person directed to do so shall comply in the manner and the time as determined.
