ENACTMENT NO. 4 OF 2004 ADMINISTRATION OF THE RELIGION OF ISLAM (PERAK) ENACTMENT 2004
PART X - RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Section 107. Islamic Religious Teaching Supervisory Committee.
(1) The Majlis shall appoint a committee known as the Islamic Religious Teaching Supervisory Committee, which shall consist of--
(a) the Mufti, as Chairman; and
(b) not less than three andd not more than seven persons with appropriate experience, knowledge and experties.
(2) The Majlis shall be responsible for implementing the decisions of the Committee.
(3) The Islamic Religious Teaching Supervisory Committee shall have power to grant a tauliah for the purpose of the teaching of the religion of Islam or any aspect of the religion of Islam and to withdraw such tauliah.
(4) The Majlis make regulations providing for--
(a) the procedure, requirements and other matters ralating to the granting of a tauliah under this section, including the fees chargeable;
(b) the procedure of the Islamic Religious Teaching Supervisory Committee; and
(c) the allowances payable to members of the Committee.
(5) Upon the commencement of this section, the persons who are members of the Religious Teaching and Dakwah Advisory Committee immediately before the commencement of this section shall be deemed to be members of the Islamic Religious Teaching Supervisory Committee appointed under this section and shall continue to be such members.
