PART III - ENFORCEMENT AND MISCELLANEOUS



Section 13. Power to require attendance of witnesses.

(1) An authorised officer making an investigation under section 12 may by order in writing require the attendance before himself of any person who appears to the officer to be acquainted with the circumstances of the case, and such person shall attend as so required.

(2) If any person subject to an order under subsection (1) fails to attend as required by the order, the authorised officer may report the failure to a Magistrate who may there upon issue a warrant to secure the attendance of the person as required by such order.

(3) A person attending as required under subsection (1) shall be entitled to be paid a reasonable travelling and subsistence expenses incurred by him; and it shall be lawful for the State Secretary to pay such expenses.
