PART IV - OFFENCES RELATING TO THE SANCTITY OF RELIGION AND ITS INSTITUTION

Section 20. Defiance of order of Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan.

(1) Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan may, as the Head of the Religion of Islam in the State, from time to time issue any order, in connection with any specific matter not inconsistent with Hukum Syara';

Provided that the order shall take effect on such date as Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.

(2) Anyone who fails to comply with an order made under subsection (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
