PART III - REGISTRATION OF RELIGIOUS SCHOOLS



Section 6. Application to establish religious school.

(1) Any person who desires to establish or maintain a religious school shall apply in writing to the Registrar to register the religious school in such form, which shall also be accompanied by a proposed instrument of management except for religious school established by the State Government, as may be prescribed.

(2) At any time after receiving the application under subsection (1) and before the application is determined, the Registrar may, by a written notice, require the applicant to provide such additional documents or information as the Registrar deems necessary.

(3) If any additional document or information required under subsection (2) is not provided by the applicant within the time specified in the notice or any extension thereof granted by the Registrar, the application shall be deemed to be withdrawn and shall not be further proceeded with, but without prejudice to a fresh application being made by the applicant.

(4) An application under this section may be withdrawn at any time before its is approved or refused.
