COUNCIL OF RELIGION AND MALAY CUSTOM ENACTMENT, 1369 (1949)

Section 2. Interpretation.

In this Enactment, unless the context otherwise requires-

"the Council" means the Council of Religion and Malay Custom established by section 3 of this Enactment;

"the President" means the President of the Council of Religion and Malay Custom appointed under section 4 of this of this Enactment;

"the Mufti" means the officer appointed under section 5 of this of this Enactment;

"the Secretary" means the officer appointed under section 6 of this of this Enactment;

"Wakaf" means properties dedicated for Muslim religious purposes in accordance with Muslim law.
