Section 127. Repairs and maintenance of mosques.

(1) It shall be the duty of the Majlis to repair from tiem to time as may necessary and keep in a proper state or repair all mosques in the State and to ensure that the compounds of such mosques are maintained in a proper state of cleanliness. the Majlis may raise and apply or authorise the raising and application of funds specially for the purpose of such repairs and maintenance or may defray the cost of the same from the General Endowment Fund.

(2) It shall be the duty of an Imam promptly to inform the Majlis of any want of repair, and to effect or supervise any repairs as agent for an on behalf of the Majlis.

(3) No material alteration to the structure of any mosque shall be made without the permission in writing of the Majlis.
