PART III - JURISDICTION OF SYARIAH COURT

Section 10. Appeal Committee.

(1) The Appeal Committee shall consist of -

(a) the Mufti; and

(b) Seven persons professing the religion of Islam Ahli Sunnah waljamaah who are nominated by the Ruler by notification in the

Gazette

from time to time.

(2) At every sitting of the Appeal Committee, the case shall be heard and disposed of by the Mufti and at least two other members nominated under sub-section 1 (b):

Provided that in the absence of the Mufti a sitting of the Appeal Committee shall be disposed of by at least three persons nominated under sub-section 1 (b) including a chairman to be nominated by the President.
