Section 67. Establishment of General Endowment Fund.
(1) A Fund to be known as General Endowment Fund is hereby established. Except as otherwise provided under this Enactment such Fund shall consist of all monies and properties movable or immovable which is contributed, paid or payable to the Fund by any person in accordance with Hukum Syarak or this Enactment.
(2) All zakat and fitrah collected in accordance with this Enactment shall be paid into the Fund but shall be accounted in a separate account of the Fund.
(3) All monies and properties in the Fund shall be vested in the Majlis who shall administer them in accordance with this Enactment:
Provided that any investment of assets and funds vested in the Majlis may be sold, realised, charged or disposed of and all the proceeds thereof may be invested from time to time in any investments authorised by any written law for the time being in force for investments of trust funds or in any investments as determined by the Majlis under subsection (4) of section 5.
