PART VIII. - CONVERSION TO THE RELIGION OF ISLAM

Section 97. Recognition of muallafs as Muslims.

(1) A person who has converted to the religion of Islam and has been registered in the Register of Muallaf shall, for the purposes of any Federal or State law, and for all time, be treated as a Muslim.

(2) A person whose conversion to the religion of Islam has been registered under any law of any State shall, for all purposes in the State of Terengganu and for the purposes of implementing for provisions of any law in the State of Terengganu, be treated as a Muslim.
