PART II - MAJLIS AGAMA ISLAM DAN ADAT MELAYU AND APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS
Section 38. Disciplinary Appeal Board.
38. (1) A decision of a disciplinary committee shall be appealable to the Disciplinary Appeal Board which shall consist of the following members:
(a) the President of the Majlis, who shall be the Chairman of the Disciplinary Appeal Board and who shall have casting vote; and
(b) two other members of the Majlis not being members of the disciplinary committee whose decision is the subject-matter of the appeal, to be appointed by the Chairman of the Disciplinary Appeal Board with the approval of the Majlis for the purpose of the appeal.
(2) When the Disciplinary Appeal Board considers an appeal, a member of the disciplinary committee against whose decision the appeal is made shall not be present or in any way participate in any proceedings relating to that appeal.
(3) The Disciplinary Appeal Board may confirm, reverse or vary the decision of disciplinary committee.
