Section 38. False declaration or statement for procuring marriage

Any person who for the purpose of procuring a marriage under this Enactment intentionally makes any false iqrar or statement commits an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a term not exceeding two thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.
