Section 128. Ill-treatment of spouse

Any husband or wife who ill-treats his wife or her husband or cheats his wife or her husband of her or his property, as the case may be, commits and offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
