Section 67. Power of Court to commit convicted person to an approved rehabilitation centre.
Where the Court has convicted any person of an offence under PART II or under section 8. 9, 10 or 38, such Court may, in lieu of or in addition to any punishment specified for such offence, order any such person to be committed to an approved rehabilitation centre to undergo such counselling or rehabilitation for any period not exceeding six months as may be specified in the order; but where any sentence of imprisonment is imposed together with the counselling or rehabilitation the period thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed three years.
