PART III - JURISDICTION OF SYARIAH COURT
Section 10. Jurisdiction of Court of Qadhi Khas.
The Court of Qadhi Khas shall:
(1) In its criminal jurisdiction try any offence committed by a Muslim and punishable under this Enactment or any other written law for which the maximum punishment provided by law does not exceed five hundred ringgit or imprisonment for a term not exceeding or four months or both and may impose any punishment therefor provided.
(2) In its civil jurisdiction, hear and determine all such actions and proceedings as the Court of Qadhi Besar is authorised to hear and determine in which the amount or value of the subject matter in dispute does not exceed fifty thousand ringgit or is not capable of estimation in terms or money.
