PART X - OFFENCES
Section 130. Attendance at mosque.
Any male of the age of fifteen years or over who fails to attend prayers on Friday at a mosque shall subject as hereinafter provided, be liable to be punished with a fine not exceeding twenty-five dollars:
Provided that no offence shall be committed by any such person if:
(a) his attendance is prevented by rain, or
(b) his place of residence is more than three miles by the nearest route from a mosque, or
(c) less than forty male Muslims aged fifteen years or over, or such lesser number as His Highness the Sultan may prescribe as the number in whose presence Friday prayers may be performed, reside in the mukim in which he then is, or
(d) he has been excused attendance by any pegawai masjid of the mukim in which he ordinarily resides or living then, on grounds of sickness or absence from his ordinary place of residence
