THE MALAY CUSTOM OF PAHANG ENACTMENT 1982


PART XII - GENERAL PROCEDURE



Section 241. Reciprocal arrangements with other states.

(1) Where a Court of Kadi Besar or a Kadi or whoever having such powers, has issued a Summons under the provisions of any law in force in any of the State specified in the First Schedule calling any person to appear before any Syariah Court in that State and such person is or believed to be in the State of Pahang, the Kadi Besar or a Kadi in the state of Pahang may endorse the summons, sign and stamp it and teh summons may then be served on such person as if it were a summons issued by any court in the state of Pahang under the provisions of this Enactment.

(2) Where the Court if the Kadi Besar or a Kadi in the State of Pahang has issued a summons calling any person to appear in such Court and such eprson is or is believed to be in any of the States specified in the First Schedule and the Summons is served on such person according to the provisions of any law in force in that state, teh summons shall, for the purposes of this enactment be presumed to have been validity served as if the service had been effected in the State of Pahang.

(3) The ruler in Council may, by order published in the Gazette, add to, delete from or amend the First Schedule.
