PART II - GENERAL PROVISIONS AS TO CRIMINAL COURTS CHAPTER IV - SUMMONS
Section 28. Summons how served.
(1) The summons shall be served personally on the person summoned by showing him the original summons and by tendering or delivering to him a copy thereof under the seal of the Court.
(2) Every person on whom a summons is so served shall if so inquired by the serving officer sign a receipt for the copy thereof on the back of the original summons.
(3) If the person to be summoned cannot by the exercise of due diligence be found, the summons may be served by leaving a copy thereof for him with some adult member of his family or with his servant residing with him.
