Section 63. Establishment and administration of General Endowment Fund.

(1) There is hereby established a fund to be known as the General Endowment Fund (hereinafter referred to as "the Fund") which shall be administered by the Majlis.

(2) The Fund shall consist of the following property, that is to say-

(a)

all Baitul-mal money collected under the Administration of Estates Enactment, 1338 [

F.M. Ord. 35/59

.];

(b)

the income of every wakaf (including wakaf khas) and of every nazar 'am;

(c)

the property of a person who after the commencement of this Enactment dies in such circumstances as to make such property vest or payable to Baitul-Mal; and

(d)

such other property (movable or immovable) as by the provisions of this Enactment shall form part of the Fund.

(3) There shall be made out of the Fund such payments as are authorised to be made under this Enactment.

(4) The Majlis rnay-

(a)

invest the assets of the Fund in any investments authorised by any written law for the investment of trust funds; and

(b)

with the approval of the Ruler, make rules for

the collection, administration and distribution of

any property of the Fund.
