Section 57. Zakat on grain.

(1) The zakat on padi or any other agricultural produce which is liable for zakat shall be paid as soon as it has been gathered.

(2) In regard to any agricultural product that is grown by a person in more than one area, the amils in the areas shall include the name of the person in their respective assessment lists, and after the product has been combined, the person shall, if the nisab is sufficient, pay the zakat either directly to the Majlis or to anyone of the amils as directed by the Majlis.
