PART IX - GENERAL

Section 119. Change of name of the Court of Kadi Besar.

(1) On the coming into force of this Enactment, the Court of Kadi Besar shall be known as the Syariah High Court and shall be deemed to be the Syariah High Court constituted under section 42 of this Enactment.

(2) The person who immediately before the coming into force of this Enactment is the Kadi Besar shall, subject to this Enactment, be deemed to be Syariah High Court Judge and shall have the powers under the jurisdiction of such Court until the appointment of the Syariah High Court Judge under this Enactment.
