ENACTMENT NO. 3 OF 1982 ADMINISTRATION OF THE SYARIAH COURT ENACTMENT 1982
PART III - JURISDICTION OF SYARIAH COURT
Section 8. Constitution of the Courts and their jurisdiction.
(1) His Royal Highness the Sultan may by notification in the Gazette constitute:
(a) the Mahkamah Rayuan Syariah;
(b) the Court of the Qadhi Besar;
(c) the Court of Qadhi Khas; and
(d) the Courts of Qadhi Jajahan,
at such places deemed necessary and may prescribe the local limits of jurisdiction of such courts.
(2)The Mahkamah Rayuan Syariah Court shall have Jurisdiction throughout the State.
(3) The Court of the Qadhi Besar shall have jurisdiction throughout the State and shall be presided over by the Qadhi Besar.
(4) The Court of the Qadhi Khas shall have jurisdiction throughout the State and shall be presided over by the Qadhi Khas.
(5) The Court of Qadhi Jajahan shall have jurisdiction throughout the district for which it is constituted and any Qadhi Jajahan may preside over the Court.
