PART IV - COURT OF KADI
Section 22. Feraid certificate.
(1) If, in the course of any proceedings a civil court or authority or any person having an interest in the administration of distribution of any estate or a deceased to be distributed according to Muslim Law, a Court of Kadi may at the request of any Civil Court, authority or any person aforesaid give a certificate to be called feraid certificate relating to the distribution of that estate and the persons entitled thereto.
(2) Before issuing a certificate as mentioned in subsection (1) a Court of Kadi shall base its certification on the facts as given by the Civil Court, authority or the person and on any fact obtained by the Court from its own investigation:
Provided that a Court of Kadi may if it thinks fit, before certifying, hear any of the parties involved on any questions relating thereto on oath of affirmation.
(3) A Court of Kadi may in its discretion prescribe any fee for any certificate issued under this section.
