Section 31. Acting in emergency.

In any case of an emergency the Yang di-Pertua may after consultation with the Mufti in his absence with the Kadi Besar, do or direct to be done on behalf of the Majlis any act or thing which might lawfully be done by resolution of the Majlis:

Provided that the Majlis shall be summoned to meet as soon as practicable after any such act has been done or has been directed to be done for the purpose of ratifying it by the Majlis.
