Section 84. Solemnisation by Wali.

(1) A wali may, in the presence and with the permission of, the Registrar or in his absence the Deputy Registrar solemnise a marriage.

(2) In relation the solemnisation of a marriage by a wali, the Registrar shall not, except in exceptional case, withhold his permission.

(3) A Registrar or Deputy Registrar shall not register or permit a marriage to be solemnise outside his kariah.
