PART VII - OFFENCES



Section 110. Unlawful food.

(1) Any Muslim, who supplies or sells or prepares any food which is forbidden according to the Hukum Syarak to be consumed by Muslims, either by way of deceit or otherwise or consumes any forbidden food, while conscious and knowing that it is forbidden food, shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding two thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding two months or to both and for a second or subsequent offence to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to both.

(2) Any Muslim who supplies or sells meat which is forbidden to Muslims or any meat from a lawful animal which is not slaughtered according to the Hukum Syarak, shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding two thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two months or to both.
