Section 30. Arrest without warrant.

(1) Any police officer, Penghulu, or Ketua Kawasan may arrest without a warrant-

(a)

any person who has committed or attempted to commit in his presence any offence under this Enactment, involving a breach of the peace;

(b)

any person who has committed in his presence under this Enactment and who fails to give on request his full name and address.

(2) Upon a person being arrested under sub-section (1), the said police officer, Penghulu or Ketua Kawasan shall, without unnecessary delay and in any event within twenty-four hours (excluding the time of any unnecessary journey) produce or cause to be produced such person before a Court.
