Section 72. Misuse of Quran.

Whoever, in any theatrical performance or in any place or public entertainment or amusement, uses any passage from the Quran or any word having a sacred implication to persons professing the Religion of Islam, or whoever derides or copies in a derisive manner any fact or ceremony relating to the Religion of Islam or uses any passage from the Quran in a derisive manner, shall be liable to be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or with fine not exceeding five hundred dollars or with both such imprisonment and fine.
