PART IV. - MOSQUES

Section 82. Establishment of mosques.

(1) The Majlis may at any time-

(a)

permit a building to be erected for use as a mosque;

(b)

permit the use of any building as a mosque; or

(c)

prescribe any

surau, madrasah

or other building to be a mosque.

(2) The Majlis shall not given its permission or make a prescription under subsection (1) unless the site of the building to be used as a mosque has been made a wakaf in perpetuity.

(3) The Majlis may, by notification in the Gazette determine or alter the boundaries of any mukim masjid.
